The High Priestess

The High Priestess is the guardian of the subconscious mind and she teaches sacred knowledge. On either side of her stands two columns marking the entrance to the sacred temple and the subconscious realm. Her position gives her the ability to walk between this realm and that of the Magician’s, the conscious realm. She wears a robe and crown that symbolize her divine knowledge and status as divine ruler. Within her grasp is a scroll that contains all sacred knowledge. She teaches that the world is not what it seems, and provides insight to a deeper, more intuitive understanding of the universe. So, when you see her card know that you need to look deep inside yourself for the answers you seek. You hold the solution, and knowledge, deep within your soul.
